"There is no doubt that being in the Continentals was part of God’s plan for me. I came to Continentals because I thought it would be a great musical experience, and it was, but by far more important was the intense experience with God and with other Christians. It was a formative time in my spiritual life. I have great memories of many Continental friends and leaders –a few examples, Mike Mahoney, Chuck Bolte, Al Streder, John Frank, Ed Cobb, Jon Eric Woodward, Jim Custer, Jim Schmidt, and, of course, Cam who gave me a chance to really start developing as a leader. And, most important of all, I met my best friend and wife, Tracey, as a result of the Continentals. God used my time with the Latin Continentals to prepare me for what has been a great adventure, serving in missions in Latin America for the past 25 years. I am presently the Regional Director for Latin America for Mission Aviation Fellowship, and have lived in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and, currently, Ecuador. Tracey and I have raised our family on the mission field, and we continue to serve with Alas de Socorro del Ecuador, MAF’s national affiliate in Ecuador, as well as working with other affiliate programs in Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, and Suriname."
